BOB GREENE, OPRAHS TRAINER says, "STOP EATING AFTER 730 PM!" THIS IS A GOOD IDEA PEOPLE, (I often try to stop eating after 6-630 PM)!

YOGA can help to lengthen the muscles, oxygenate the cells and aid the digestive system. My favorite is the HEATED YOGA sessions!

Drink a 8oz glass of water before you consume your meal and this will help you with your portions.

The pounds start to pack on in the fall people, start eating more dietary fiber right now, this will aid in better digestion.

For my kickboxers: When you throw a jab, exhale as the muscle contracts, you have heard me say it a million times!

If you are drinking eight, 8 oz glasses of water every day and you are still thirsty, you are not drinking enough water. (Remember, if you are exercising you need more than 8 glasses per day!)

When you are doing your sit ups or crunches, when the muscle contracts, (or as you come up) exhale, as the abdominal muscle resists (or as you go down) inhale.

Ok. We all love carbohydrates, try to consume most of your carbohydrates during the day and maybe a lettuce salad for dinner with a protein! Do you people know what carbohydrates are? Carbohydrates are in EVERYTHING!

The key to weight loss, it is not a big secret and it is very simple. Simple. Eat less and workout more and if you eat more workout more! BURN OFF WHAT YOU TAKE IN. Simple! Get Control. THINK about what you are putting into your body and how it is breaking down!

Most persons cannot stand to exercise, find SOMETHING that gets your heart rate up that you enjoy! Some type of activity that fits into your lifestyle! An activity that can be a part of your busy daily routine! I have to workout early morning or after I put my boys to bed at night!

WHAT AND HOW MUCH ARE YOUR CHILDREN EATING?

We can make the choice to educate our children on healthy foods to consume. We also have a lot of control over what type of foods our children will choose as they become adults. To add, we can teach our children, portion size at a very young age and how to STOP eating when they are full. For example, I do not make my 9 year old finish his plate...he may consume a very small portion of dinner but I do not want him to eat until he is full.

He does consume three meals per day, but he has small snacks throughout the day, so breakfast, lunch and dinner are not huge portions of food. (P.S. He may not get 3 FULL meals, if he is not hungry I do not shove food down him!)

Also educating children on types of foods (proteins, carbohydrates etc.) and exposing kids to a variety of foods is important. I teach my two boys about proteins, carbohydrates, legumes, sugars and if our plate has a lot of color, with all different types of foods this is a positive.
